Leading suppliers of farm and professional grass care machinery, Rickerby recently contacted Safetykleen's Hazardous Waste Services to ask for their help in dealing with approximately 90 tonnes of contaminated soil.

Safetykleen had to determine first what the contamination was, so Safetykleen's Rob Carman arranged to have sample tested in order that a suitable disposal route could be sourced.

Rob worked with several partners to select the most suitable route for the waste. Safetykleen managed the whole Hazardous Waste Disposal process for the customer from the sampling of the contaminated waste, to the selection of a Hazardous waste disposal site, to the management of the Hazardous Waste Carrier.

Once Safetykleen had managed this the Rickerby’s were provided with a complete cost for the Hazardous waste management process relating to this waste. Safetykleen worked with Rickerby staff to coordinate work taking place at a suitable time on site. Safetykleen were on site to supervise the arrival & loading of the vehicles. The total time required on site for the Hazardous Waste Collection to be completed was 2 days.

After the hazardous waste collection was completed Rickerby’s Allan Morris thanked Safetykleen for their assistance with this issue & would be in contact for similar Hazardous Waste Disposal work in the future.
